Great car rental experience. Managed to get through the route that we had planned for Namibia and Botswana so pleased with the overall experience! We had paid for the CDW3 which covers the most amount, and includes 2 spare tyres and the only issue we had was coming back the last day of our 19 day drive, behind a truck a rock hit our window screen and caused a chip which luckily was covered under the insurance we purchased. Overall Mufasa was great, staff were amazing and helpful.

Loved this car. Amazing customer service. The rooftop tent is much bigger and more comfortable than you can imagine. We get good explanation about the car when we picked it up in Windhoek and we handed over in Kasane without any issue. 'Great service' is the best way to summarize Mufasa Car Rental. From out first contact, they were very helpful. At pick up, everything was ready and could start our journey right away. Highly recommended car rental service! We had a very good time! All the staff was super helpful even during the trip. The car was practically new and did not give us any problems at all. It allowed us to enjoy Namibia and Botswana in peace. It tackled dirt, sand and all tracks without any problems. One nuisance was refueling of the extended tank - it takes a lot of time, but plan a short brake, let petrol station staff take care of it and tip them afterwards.

A excellent experience. When researching places to rent a pickup with rooftop tents, I took a chance on a newer, smaller company with a few good reviews. It turns out to be just that - a family run business with a few trucks. We ran into absurd difficulties with cancelled flights on the way to Namibia, and they were very responsive through email & WhatsApp at every turn. Once we finally arrived, they were punctual with our airport pickup, and the truck was all it was promised to be. We checked in a few times through WhatsApp during the trip, and the whole experience was terrific. I’m so glad we went with the ‘little guy’ in this market, as the personal attention and support meant everything to have our plane problems end, with trouble free ‘ground’ transport. Thank you!

So first of all: We booked the Nissan 4x4 with camping equipment and the tents above the car. We were 4 people doing a road trip through Namibia. 2 girls and 2 boys. Super communication with Anja before arriving and also during our trip with the team. Martin, the guy who showed us the car was really nice. The place where we got introduced to the car was a bit far from the airport, but not a problem if you have enough time. They showed and explained us everything before our journey began and everything was very professional and easy.The camping equipment was more than enough. The sleeping bags had a really good smell, so we felt comfortable in fresh sleeping bags and fresh bedding. Unfortunately the car was a bit small for 4 adults, also the boot of the car.

At Windhoek Airport we got picked up by a driver that was organized by Mufasa car rental. He brought us directly to the facilities of Mufasa. We there met Anja and read the contract together. After the paper work was done a colleague of Anja showed us everything around the car. After all our questions were answered we started our trip. The car was a Nissan it was in good condition and we didn’t have any problems with the car. At the end of our tour we drove back to the Mufasa facilities to hand over the car. Our first rooftop tent trip ever&we’re not sure whether to go with Mufasa as there were no experiences/reviews that could be found. But what can we say…we had a blast! We were so pleased. Helped a lot planning the trip, did the bookings and was very supportive.Whenever we needed for a helping hand they were always available.Compared to the bigger car rental companies this is probably one of the biggest advantages of a “smaller” competitor.The package had everything we ever needed&we never had the feeling that we were under-equipped.
